Independent EV Charging Advice

What we Offer

GHIC provides independent advice to apartment buildings and developers looking for a way to deliver in car park Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions for owners in apartment buildings. We focus on providing solutions that enable every owner the ability to charge their EV in their car in their own car park and not rely on a common shared facility and all the problems that sharing creates.

Our Aim is to provide the Owners Corporation or a Developer with the policies, technical framework, and commercial arrangements that make in car park EV charging a reality.

We provide buildings with a clear alternative to the limitations of a shared charging station.

Our Deliverables

Feasibility Studies of Demand and Technical Requirements

Provide an EV Policy and Assist in Legal and Commercial Arrangements

Work with suppliers or manage the tender for the technical solution

Project Management of the Implementation

The Challenge

Apartment building car parks are not configured to enable their residents who own an Electric Vehicle (EV) to charge their car on site and in the owner’s own car park.

GHIC’s EV Ready Program is designed to deliver EV owners in an apartment development the same user charging experience that an owner in the suburbs receives by overcoming the legal and commercial issues of needing to access “common property” and the building’s electricity.

Charging an EV at home is akin to charging a mobile phone at home. It is done daily on returning home not weekly at a service station as is the case with an internal combustion engine. It is the solution sought by all EV owners. So, all EV owners want a charging solution in their building which will have a low impact on battery life and maximise their convenience. Charging should be simple, safe, secure, and just happen while you sleep.

Naturally the focus on delivering EV charging in apartment complexes gravitates to a discussion of technical infrastructure issues and the type of charging. However, the starting point before considering the technical infrastructure is also to address the legal and commercial issues at the same time.

Our approach is to cover all elements and because we are independent and not tied to a particular hardware or software solution, we can tailor a complete package for an Owners Corporation or a Developer.

Our Fees

We have a fee-for-advice model. We do NOT receive any commissions from any hardware suppliers, NOR do we sell any solution or hardware.

It is our independence that sets us apart.

We look for the solution that meets the needs of the individual owner’s corporation and developers looking for a path to ensure that multi-unit dwelling is EV Ready and not a particular supplier’s solution.

Our Partners

We have access to experienced independent industrial electrical contractors and independent electrical engineers who focus on sustainability solutions so you have access to an end to end solution.
